The salumeria di Monte San Savino, is a business situated in the heart of Tuscany, which has been producing Tuscan cold meats, and salami of high quality for over forty-five years.
The business was born in 1962 with the father Walter Iacomoni who started to produce cold meats in the small workshop of the savinese village. Here, both for the quality of the prepared meats and for the trust which the people put in him, the necessity was born to create the first factory producing cold meats and salami with an imperative requirement: maintaining the quality of his products very high. The geographical context in which the business operates indicates the highest qualitative vocation in substance: the traditional Porchetta of Monte San Savino prepared and cooked following antique recipes handed on secretly from generation to generation, finds an important showcase at the festival by the same name, which from 1964 until today is celebrated unceasingly in the smiling village the second Sunday of September and the preceding Saturday attracting thousands of visitors to each edition.
Our strength surely is the choice of the raw materials as we select the porks only and exclusively from local animals of the best farms in the Chiana valley.
A characteristic that is always respected is roasting the porchetta in the wood-burning ovens, a tradition that has been handed on from father to son maintaining the best result in quality.
It is for this product called PORCHETTA DI MONTE SAN SAVINO that the Tuscan Region has acknowledged us the title of PRODOTTO AGROALIMENTARE TRADIZIONALE (title recognized by legislative decree 173/98).
